Zimbabwe today is a largely polarised nation that calls for a sober approach towards national unity and conciliation. The politics of ZANU PF have resulted in the needless division of our people along political and tribal lines. The national fabric that should bind our nation has been greatly eroded.

Most importantly, there are past political and economic wrongs that have not been set right by this government for the duration of their 27 years in power. Instead, Zimbabweans have seen more atrocities perpetrated against our people and more economic disruption and derailment committed with impunity. Victimisation of people on political and economic grounds is a growing problem under the present regime.

Unfortunately, this has sometimes been misconstrued as a Shona versus Ndebele issue or a Black versus White issue because the government has made it appear that way. This kind of approach to national issues does not help nation building and national unity and the cohesion of ethnicities in our nation.
