The ZPDP has a comprehensive policy package to address all the anomalies that have arisen in the politics and economics of our country as a direct result of the ruling ZANU PF’s shambolic and careless approach to national issues. Unfortunately, these bad and destructive policies of ZANU PF have often been misconstrued as the representative and collective national approach to some of the very important issues affecting our country.

The ZPDP is fully aware of the deliberate distortion that has become an integral part of ZANU PF policy. This is intended to ensure that the people are misled into bundling and placing blame where it should not be. Such an approach to national issues has only left our country more divided, rather than united, because the issues of ethnicity, race and the economy are intertwined and can never be overlooked when it comes to policy formulation and implementation in Zimbabwe.

Our party is committed to the process of re-instilling the confidence of our people in the government process, through the restoration of the political and economic standards acceptable of any such country as Zimbabwe. This is why our party has a policy towards national unity, truth and reconciliation that will be implement through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. It is essential that we bring all ethnicities together in social, economic and political harmony.

The ZPDP will not allow any further fragmentation and disintegration of the national fabric of Zimbabwe.  Our party will ensure that all tribes, ethnicities and races in Zimbabwe are accorded a meaningful role in the development and governance of their country. To achieve this, our party will ensure that all races, ethnicities and tribes in Zimbabwe are fully represented at every level of politics. The structures of the ZPDP will be constructed so as to reflect fairly on the racial, tribal and ethnic composition of Zimbabwe as a nation.
